We received a call from a restaurant in Pleasanton that was preparing to make their transition over to a new building that was 3000 square feet bigger than their previous building. Their new space inspired the owners to purchase new furniture for a fresh start. This meant that they needed the old chairs hauled off immediately. And hauling and cleanup is what we are here to do!
When your trash becomes a treasure for others
We quickly removed the furniture and took it to one of our favorite donation centers. West Coast Junk is a regular at The Savers Donation Center in Dublin and for good reason. The Savers family of stores is a for-profit, global thrift retailer offering great quality, gently used clothing, accessories and household goods. Savers has an interesting business model of purchasing, reselling and recycling and helps keep more than 700 million pounds of used goods from landfills each year. Buying at Savers gives communities a smart, thrifty way to shop, too. On top of that, Savers helps more than 120 nonprofit organizations by paying them for donated goods, which supports their vital community programs and services. The Savers brands include Savers (in the U.S), Value Village (in the U.S. and Canada), Unique (in the U.S.), Village des Valeurs (in Quebec) and Savers Australia. They operate over 330 locations and have 22,000 employees.
